Kennedy's Birthday!

A six-panel comic strip really can't encompass everything that happened within that 18 hr. period (yes, I said "18 hours"!), but I had to draw about it. If you'd like to read a couple of paragraphs about the experience, you can check out Shannon's blog. That being said, I don't think words OR pictures could ever do it justice!

Also, expect this blog to include lots of photos of Kennedy from now on(well, as soon as I upload some more of 'em to my computer)!

Disciplinarian

I toyed with the idea of the last panel saying, "... out of your mother's uterus...", but ultimately, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use the word 'VAG' in a comic.

Shannon's due date is tomorrow, and the special guest, Kennedy, has yet to make an appearance. However, Shannon has started to have lots of "practice" contractions and cramping; But, the real show hasn't started yet.

Of course, that could change at any SECOND... or not, who knows?

No news is good news

No new strip today, but I did add a 5 new pages to my "Get into Comix!" origin story, so please go read 'em! I'm at a point in the story that is a stark contrast to where I'm at in my life now, as illustrated by this photo of me and my wife, Shannon (and Kennedy Mae, in utero).

Dawn on Me

It's a little over 3 months until Shannon's due date, and finally the realization is beginning to set in, for both of us. I mean, yeah, we've known she was pregnant for quite a while ( hell, we've heard the heartbeat, and even seen a grainy picture that proves there's a baby in there!), but I don't think anyone having their first child can really ever comprehend what's happening until you're sitting in the delivery room.

Or, at least that's what I think as of now...

Proof

Pretty awesome to think there's gonna be a human that is a combination of me and my wife. I know it's a natural process and that it happens all the time, but it's still pretty surreal.

Arrested Development

Initially, I don't think I was afraid of driving, but just ended up putting it off for a little bit longer ( I hate studying), and kept putting it off, over and over again. And now, after prolonging the inevitable for so long ( I'll be 28 yrs old in Dec. ), my laziness has transformed, blossoming into a full blown, irrational paranoia/phobia of driving a car/wrecking a car.

Obviously,I'm marginally insane.

Practical Solutions

Shannon has lost about 8-10, but she'll gain it back as she gets further along in her pregnancy. I don't know, that's what she told me, and she knows way more about this stuff than I do.

Morning Sickness

Shannon is at, like, 12 weeks now, and gets nauseous quite a bit. I've been listening to a podcast describing the different stages of pregnancy, as well as the various symptoms, but even though I was fully aware of "morning sickness", her gagging was pretty unsettling at first.

The Big News!

I drew this comic on July 17, when we first found out that Shannon was pregnant, and had to wait until now to post it. Man, that was a crazy day!
