FLASHBACK: "Going Nowhere, Fast", my 1st autobio comic!

It's not the first mini-comic I made, but it is my first AUTOBIO mini-comic, self-published circa 2004. In this predecessor to "Epic Tales...", I'm doing my best ripoff of James Kochalka's "Sunburn". 

NOTE: I think that the younger, more naive version of myself that existed at this time sent a copy to Kochalka, who was NOT impressed..

A Turd By Any Other Name Still Reeks of Sh*t

For the record, I do think "Robot Repair" is a slightly better name than the other, both because of the alliteration and the fact that it's a referance to a "50 Million" song... On the other hand, however, I now realize that they are both really stupid names for a band.

Some Things Just Go Together!

This actually happened last Saturday, but whatever. The show was at the Yucca tap room, and featured my friends' band, "Japanese Monsters", and a really bad-ass band I've never seen before then, "Lenguas Largas".

Lifestyle Choices

Once again, I am attempting to work four 10 hour shifts a week at work, in the hopes that I'll be able to get more comics done with 3 days off. Wish me luck!

HATE!

The way I wrote this strip, it makes it sound like Yami was drunk, but really this is horribly complicated story involving multiple drunk people riding in his car; These are the shortcuts I take when trying to cram something into 3 or 4 panels!

My Liver is Tired

This trip really was rough. I mean, it was self-inflicted, of course, but still... I can't handle that kinda shit anymore. I need to be a social recluse, sitting at home, drawing comics; my normal lifestyle is the one that suits me best!

New Year, New Hangover

Ug... Hangovers seem much harder to get over these days. I told my friend, Matt, that maybe it had something to do with drinking less nowadays. He said that when you drink alot, hangovers aren't quite so bad because you're used to constantly feeling like shit, so its kinda normal. And vice versa if you only drink casually/occasionally.

I don't know, but its a good theory.

A Different Type

Shannon and I just finished watching the 4th season of the newest 'Doctor Who' series, and it was the best TV I've seen in a long time! Unfortunatly, we also discovered that aside from a few specials, the show will be on hiatus until 2010 [insert long sigh].

Sin City

We left for Vegas last Friday morning, and spent the weekend there. Our friends, Mikey and Natti, got married, and the rest of us got broke. Viva Las 'fuckin' Vegas.

Good Cause

According to the myspace bulletin Chris posted, he ended up with $817.55. Also, I got to play keyboard for my friends' band, Hotdog. Here's the flyer for the show.

"Epic Tales..." #6 preview !!!

Lately, everytime I make a blog entry I bitch about not having time to do new strips, so I'm just skip that portion and put up a preview to "Epic Tales..." #6. The theme of this issue focuses on 'band horror stories', so here's a story written by former bandmate, Matt Roboticon, and edited/illustrated by me ( I'm in in the story, but I left the show early, and missed all the craziness).
