Guide to becoming a Successful Comic Artist

Yep, my 72-pg mini-graphic novel,"GET INTO COMIX", is finally done, all printed up and everything. And despite what the self-deprecating comic above says, I'm pretty happy with it (although calling it my "personal masterpiece" is nothing I would claim in real life). No rejection letters as of yet, either ( I'm just getting to dropping 'em off at shops and doing mail-order sales, right now), but I always planned to self-publish 'cause who knows if it would happen otherwise? MAYBE, but hubris is not my forte.

If you'd like to get a copy of this book, just PAYPAL $7 to bradagenda@yahoo.com, leave your mailing address in the comments/notes, and I'll ship that sucka out to ya ( UNITED STATES ONLY, sorry!). And if you'd like me to draw a small sketch inside, I'd be happy to do that, as well.

Also, in case you haven't heard, the "AS YOU WERE" anthology (featuring comics by Mitch Clem, Liz Prince, Ben Snakepit and a 5-pg story that I contributed to it, as well) came out, and you can buy it HERE.

Grackelion!

This is another drawing I did in Illustrator for my 2D Computer Design Class. It's a cross between a Grackle and a Dandelion...
We have strange assignments.

Charting the Semester

I somehow managed to pass all my classes this semester ( with three "A"s and a "B", no less ) without having a nervous breakdown, so I made out a lot better than I expected I would! And, now that I'm on a break from school, I can actually eek out enough spare time to make marks on paper that won't be graded, and this strip's hiatus can finally end.

My last project for my Digital Arts class was to download and edit footage from the internet, combining them into a single piece of video. My idea was to combine examples of technology in old SciFi movies and T.V. shows against their modern counterparts. Here's my student project:

Finally, here's a drawing I completed while listening to an instructor babble on and on about one assignment or another:

The Matrix

It took me waaaaay longer to add in the "digital" panel ( drawn on a piece of graph paper ) and color it than I'd like to admit. I could have cleaned it up some more and made it look really good, but the hell with it.

The first 2 days of school usually mean that you're lectured on how the classes work and what to expect, blah blah blah, and then you get out of class early. This means you have even longer to wait between classes, so in addition to the first 2 panels of this strip, I drew this guy today...
